Herkimer Diamond
The name Herkimer Diamond comes from the location of where they were first found in the U.S. at Herkimer, New York. They are one of the hardest quartz crystal available, and have a brilliance and cut similar to diamonds. Herkimer's have an extremely HIGH VIBRATION. They are clear stones, however, many contain dark inclusions and other minerals within the stone. Some may have rainbows, and others can be found with water inclusions inside. You can also find them in the form of a Smokey Herkimer Diamond, and as such will contain the properties of a smokey (click on this link for Smokey Quartz properties). As with all crystals, the clarity of a Herkimer diamond, as well as additional properties combined within the stone (i.e. smokey, water included, etc.), will determine its price.
Herkimer Diamonds are another one of my favorite crystals! These sparkly double terminated stones have a vibration that is even higher then a quartz crystal, with the ability to direct energies from “divine source” to the physical earthly realms (as above/so below). These beautiful treasures are the perfect stone for assisting with ‘new beginnings’ and manifesting one’s ‘hearts-desire’ with confidence and ease. A must have for those who are in a healing environment as they bring harmony and clarity to one’s being, connecting them to their higher source of personal power, and allowing one to surrender to the energy to just “be”. To gently release energy from the emotional field, I recommend using a water ‘inclusion’ Herkimer. The water will assist with gently moving and clearing energy from the emotional auric field.
Like all diamond’s, the Herkimer Diamond is a stone of Love. When meditating with this beautiful crystal, you will find matters of the heart being cleared away and your heart chakra expanding into the frequency of the Divine Love of all that is. It can also be used to activate the higher chakra’s (3rd eye, crown chakra, soul chakra), and will assist with expanding your connection from the heart to the higher chakra’s and into the ethereal/angelic realms, while stimulating your clairvoyant & clairaudient channels. It may also be used to enhance telepathic communication by having two people create a connection between two crystals, then using the channels of the crystal’s to communicate telepathically.
Just like a quartz crystal, the Herkimer has the ability to strongly enhance the vibration and energy of other stones when placed beside them. This is especially useful when gridding or using in a healing environment.

As the stone of Abundance & Love, this is one of my personal favorites for manifesting purposes! Be sure to write down your desired intentions, hold your crystal close to your heart, then breathe love and your intentions into your crystal. Find a special or sacred spot, then place your Herkimer onto the top of your written desires. To keep the energy of your intention strong, I recommend you visit your crystal periodically to breathe gratitude and love into your stone.
