With a well balanced yet subtle aroma, Texas Hill Cedar can be used as a fixative in many perfume types, including florals. It lends itself well to men’s colognes, leathery and precious woods notes, high class florals, and amber bases.
It blends well with all precious woods and resins, ambrette, green mandarin, osmanthus absolute, and thuja.
Observations and Anecdotal Information
The lovely aromatic scent of Texas Hill Cedar essential oil has been used as a purification in ceremony, a healing herb, and an insect repellant for generations by Native American tribal peoples.
Current homeopathic uses of Texas Hill Cedar include treatment for skin conditions, including dandruff, dermatitis, acne, and conditions that produce pus.
It is also used for relieving hemorrhoids. It enhances massage for relieving lymphatic congestion.
It makes a wonderful oil for diffusion. It is effective in relieving chronic coughs, congestion, bronchitis, and sinusitis. It can be diffused in homes and workplaces to neutralize the effects of mold, radon, and negative energies in the environment.
