Observations and Anecdotal Information
Oregano essential oil is one of the strongest anti-bacterial substances from the plant world. It was used to treat plague during the Middle Ages; and has been laboratory tested effective against influenza, colds, staph and strep infections, and other fungal and viral infections.
It is effective as a bone and nerve enhancer, helping to regenerate and relieve pain in these tissues.
It is a very potent digestive tonic, good for digestive system infections, parasitic infections, acidic stomach, mouth ulcers, and constipation. It has even shown effective against digestive system staph infections, and many parasitic microbes.
It is very good when combined with birch and everlasting essential oils for regenerating nerve tissue. It has even been used to regenerate nerves that were considered permanently damaged by western medicine. For this purpose, it must be applied at least twice weekly on the spine as a spinal compress, and applied again directly over the area where nerve damage has occurred.
It is a powerful choice for spinal compresses and treatments, as it supports healing, pain relief, and nerve regeneration.
