The aroma of wintergreen essential oil is similar to that of birch; a cool, sweet scent reminiscent of old fashioned candy. It can be used for inhalation therapy, and brings a bright and happy energy when diffused.
Note: Wild-crafted and artisan distilled. There is a huge amount of wintergreen essential oil on the market that is colorless. It has been redistilled or altered to remove the usual high iron content present in rustic single distillations. Many contain synthetically produced methyl salicylate. We have searched for a long time to find a truly pure wintergreen essential oil. Ours is a golden color, with remarkable aroma. We are pleased to offer this fine oil.

It is great for relieving the pain of sciatica, and should be applied to both the spine and the area where pain is felt. Apply as a spinal compress, twice weekly, until the pain is gone.
It is also a disinfectant, and improves breathing when passages are congested. It is opening and expanding to the lungs and bronchial tubes.
Wintergreen essential oils makes a fine massage oil with its pain relieving properties. It can have a cortisone like action in the body, helping to relieve pain and stimulate circulation in joints, bones, muscles, and tissue, without the potential risk of joint degeneration associated with actual cortisone.
