Frankincense has been used for over 5,000 years as a medicinal and spiritual incense. Used throughout biblical times and for thousands of years previously, it has long been associated with health, wealth, and all things sacred and holy.
It was used in ancient Egypt as one of the key oils for enhancing the ascension process, both for spiritual development and for medicinal purposes. Frankincense is a powerful digestive system tonic. It improves digestion, relieves gas, soothes intestines, and relieves burping.
All of this can be done by simply rubbing the oil (diluted) on the surface of the abdomen. For severe indigestion, place one to two drops Frankincense in a quart of water and you may swallow a tablespoon of this mixture; or it can be used as a compress on the abdomen.

It is an extremely helpful oil for treating cancer herbally, and may be used in boluses, tonic formulas, healing salves, and applied externally for this purpose.
