In natural perfumery, Douglas fir essential oil is used in making holiday perfumes, forest notes, sacred perfumes and incenses. Combines well with cardamom, eucalyptuses, lime, clary sage, tangerine, and vetiver.

Douglas Fir essential oil carries the wisdom and energies of the old growth forests. These great centurians have been used for centuries by Native American herbalists.
Energetically, it has an affinity for the feet and legs, and is helpful for healing nerves and opening circulation in the feet and legs. This great tree has been used to make a poultice to treat wounds, cuts, burns, hemorrhoids, and skin ailments. It was applied to dislocated or broken bones.
