Drum Beaters

Ceremoniously co-created drum beaters are handmade by Vicki Butler. Each one is unique!
The handles are from a beautiful palo verde tree that stands guard outside Vicki's home. The palo verde is a strong and fast growing tree. The branch is soft when first cut, then hardens to a strength that one finds difficult to cut with tree cutting shears.
Each beater is hand wrapped with leather; the head is wrapped with dyed sheep fur and hand sewn with sinew. These two beaters have one turkey feather, and three hand-carved water buffalo bone beads attached.
The water buffalo represents strength, service, and strong connection to Mother Earth. Turkey represents the abundance of life - the giver of gifts.
**NOTE: Each drum beater is unique and come in various colors (sheep & dyed leather). You may request a particular color and I will let you know if I have the available supplies.
